Families First CAPC understands the important role that active fathers play in the lives of children. We continue to work toward providing opportunities for fathers to enhance and enrich their relationships with their children.

While Fathers are welcome at all our drop in programs, the Wednesday evening Family Drop in program (5:30 - 7:30 pm) and Saturday Morning Drop-In(10 am - 12 noon) provide opportunities for fathers to get together with their kids and have fun in the unique way that dads do. The very relaxed and fun atmosphere gives fathers a chance to mingle with other dads and kids and perhaps casually discuss topics of interest in an informal setting. We have found that fathers enjoy the chance to connect with other dads while they have fun with their children.

Families First is excited to be a member of the Father Involvement Initiative - Ontario Network, which encourages the involvement of fathers in the lives of their children. The members of the network share the belief that the active involvement of caring, committed and responsible fathers promotes the healthy development of children. Please contact the Families First office to get your copy of the booklet "Involved Fathers - A Guide for Today's Dad".

The White Oaks community has many resources available for fathers and their kids. There are numerous parks and playgrounds, the Jalna Branch Public Library, soccer pitches, baseball diamonds and toboggan hills. Many dads enjoy a terrific time with their children at the South London Community Pool for the Sunday Recreational Swim (1:00 - 2:30).

Here is a list of some websites that fathers might find interesting:
